POLICE are warning of "rogue traders" targeting elderly people in Wrexham.
North Wales Police said it has received reports of people purporting to be from a genuine company offering gardening work and home repairs for thousands of pounds.
These incidents have been reported in Tanyfron and Johnstown.

In these reports, police said the traders are using a company name that appears genuine but further checks show the company linked to a genuine small business in Essex and the traders' website address does not exist.
A police spokesperson said: "If you need work completing for home improvements please contact a reputable company.
"Genuine tradesmen will not need to cold call for work."
