A cat rescue centre is appealing for information after discovering a cat they rescued in the Wrexham area had been shot twice.
Candy and Tibby Trust are hoping to find any information to assist with prosecution after what they described as a 'shocking case'.
Late on Sunday, June 26, the rescue organisation based in Wrexham were contacted by a member of the public in regards to a distressed cat in Johnstown.
Candy and Tibby Trust had previously been contacted about the same cat, with residents concerned about his health.

Yet on Sunday, he had been seen dragging his back legs near Heol Ddyfrdwy and immediate action was needed.
Volunteers attended the scene and were helped by a number of residents in trying to restrain the cat.
Once they had done so, the cat was quickly taken for an X-Ray, where it was confirmed he had fractured his pelvis and his health was touch and go.
Yet to the shock of staff at the rescue centre, the X-Ray also showed that the cat had been shot twice.
It is unsure what the cat had been shot with, but there were two pellet marks on the X-Ray.
The cat is now on the mend, but Candy and Tibby Trust are appealing to the public for any information on this case.
A spokesperson said: "We are pleased to say he is responding well to treatment.

"We would like to know if anyone has information that would assist us with a prosecution.
"As a self-funded, independent, Wrexham-based cat rescue, cases like this seriously deplete our funds but saving this innocent boy's life was paramount.
"It's been a really disturbing case and we need to raise as much awareness as possible."
