NEWCOMERS at one Wrexham company are literally busy bees.
Telephone answering service Moneypenny has welcomed the first of two bee hives to the company’s award-winning eco HQ in Wrexham. The second beehive will be installed this week.
The bees, which are native British honeybees, have been introduced, and will be cared for, by the South Clwyd Beekeeping Association, along with some Moneypenny volunteers.
The hives are located in a grassy area at the back of the Moneypenny office car park, surrounded by a wide variety of trees and meadow flowers.

Wendy Swash, Moneypenny chief operating officer, said: "We introduced the bees as part of our efforts to make our offices as eco-friendly as possible, and to encourage biodiversity in our lovely grounds.
"We’ve got a wide variety of plants and trees in our gardens, which the bees will hopefully help pollinate, and in return the bees will hopefully produce honey that we can enjoy with breakfast or lunch at the office over the coming months.
"A number of our people volunteers have already donned the beekeeping kit and are enjoying learning how to look after the bees.”
