AS we head into our first almost 'normal' summer for three years, we can start to look forward to social events again.
And it was with that in mind that the Leader asked members of the Local Bygones Facebook group what community event they would like to see return.
Topping the list of suggestions were carnivals, a great experience for all ages but there were many more, or as Vera Morrison said: "A good old carnival, were everyone got involved."

Which do you agree with or it there a much-missed event you would like to give a shout-out to?
Maybe you have any old photos from community fun of days gone by. Email your photos or suggestions to email claire.pierce@newsquest.co.uk.
Let's see if one of your favourites made the list:
• Wrexham Lager Gala
• Ruabon Carnival
• The Father Christmas parade through Wrexham
• Broughton Carnival Week
• Rhostyllen Carnival - Thomas Peter Jones said: "I remember as a kid our family would do a float, one year we went as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I was Dopey. We would go all around the village and end up on the football field. Great memories."
• Holywell Easter Fair
• Brymbo Carnival - Stephen Shaun Lee said: "Events on all through the week leading up, street decorated, all local schools had a float in the parade, fun fair on our big field. Loved those days as a kid."
• Plassey Steam Rally
• Student Rag Weeks
• Rhosnesni Carnival
• Coedpoeth Carnival
Plus a special mention for fetes, gymkhanas, roller skating discos, May Day parades and more market days.
