A HOUSE in Deeside was badly damaged in a fire.
The incident occurred at a property on Golftyn Drive in Connah's Quay at about 3.45pm on Thursday (June 23).
Fire crews from Flint, Deeside and Holywell, as well as an aerial ladder platform from Wrexham, were called to the blaze - believed to have been started by an electrical fault in the loft area.
Thankfully, the sole occupant and her two dogs were safely evacuated from the fire - which caused the house's roof to partially collapse.

A local resident, who helped get the female occupant out of the house to safety, said: "It was absolutely shocking to see. We saw the smoke coming out of the roof and just rushed in to get her out. It was terrifying."
"We can't thank the firefighters enough - they were absolutely brilliant. But we're devastated to see how much damage this has caused and how much one of our neighbours has lost."
An emegency appeal for donations of essential items was launched by local councillors Dave Richardson and Andy Hughes - with dozens of people offering to help.
Councillor Hughes said: "The response to our appeal for help after the house fire has been absolutely incredible.
"Last night I dropped four or five bags off, including the pillows, bedding, slippers night wear, toiletries etc.
"I have another four full bags in my car yet to drop off and Franko (Councillor Richardson) has a few things to collect today.
"They as a family are overwhelmed with the support shown by our amazing community. Thank you all."
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 3.45pm yesterday (June 23) to Golftyn Drive, Connahs Quay, to a house fire.
