Following a successful launch of the 'Summer of Fun' scheme by the Welsh government last year, which saw 99% of children reporting that they had fun, they have increased their funding.
According to the Welsh government: "Over 67,000 enjoyed a host of free indoor and outdoor activities including music, theatre, sea-based sport activities, climbing and zip lining, offering inclusive opportunities to take part in activities to engage with society again through play based activities."
The government implemented £5 million in funding for the scheme in 2021 which has increased to £7 million this year.
The scheme was aimed at children and young people aged between 0-25.
Julie Morgan MS, Deputy Minister for Social Services, said: "We are building on this success, offering another Summer of Fun this year of free activities to support our young people and help families across Wales with the rising cost of living over the summer months."
Participating leisure centres in Flintshire include; Buckley Leisure Centre, Deeside Leisure Centre, Jade Jones Pavillion in Flint and Mold Leisure Centre.
