A fire broke out at a recycling unit on an industrial estate in Bagillt last night.
People living near the area were told to keep their windows shut due to smoke from the blaze.
On social media last night, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service posted: "We're currently dealing with a fire in a recycling unit on Dee Bank Industrial Estate in #Bagillt and are likely to be in attendance for some time this evening.
"Please avoid the area if you can - the A548 eastbound has been closed as a result of the incident.
"We are monitoring smoke but would recommend closing windows and doors as a precaution if you are affected."
The road was reopened this morning and North Wales Police has thanked the public for their patience.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We were called shortly after 8.50pm yesterday, (Sunday, June 19) to provide support to colleagues at North Wales Fire and Rescue Service following a large fire at Dee Bank Industrial Estate in Bagillt.
"Officers closed the A548 eastbound from its junction with the A5026 to the Manor Industrial Estate while fire crews tackled the blaze.
"The road reopened shortly before 8am this morning."
As of 2.30pm today (Monday, June 20), the incident is still under investigation.
