The Offa Carnival returns to Wrexham this summer following a two-year absence.
After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the Offa Carnival is returning to Bellevue Park on Saturday, July 16. The event is funded and organised by Offa Community Council.
The carnival will see the return of Stokes Amusements with their fun rides and stalls, the Brickfield FC football competition, Cheshire Falconry with displays in the arena, Punch and Judy, donkey rides, the land train giving rides around the park, and a circus skills workshop.
There will also be a dog show ran by the Hack Horse Sanctuary this year which the community is urged to come and support. In addition, there will be display of vintage vehicles and performance cars alongside craft stalls and plenty of refreshments.
Offa community council clerk, Karen Benfield said: “I’m really pleased that the annual carnival is restarting again after a break due to covid.”
“I’ve received many enquiries in the past 2 years asking when it would be back on, as it is a well-attended family event that is free to enter.”
“The Community Council tries to keep the cost of the attractions such as the donkey and land train rides down to a nominal amount to help families out who may be struggling. Let’s hope the sun shines for us on the day.”
The Offa Carnival promises to be a fun filled afternoon and familied and members of the local community are encouraged to come along to show their support.
