Members of Holywell Market Group are raising funds for a fun day in the summer holidays.
The group is hoping to raise enough money to stage an enjoyable event which will take place on market day on the High Street.
It will include funding free fairground rides for families to enjoy.
A spokesman for the group said: “It’s sad to see parents having to pull their children away from being able to go on rides because they are struggling financially. We just want to put on a day where everyone can enjoy themselves without having to worry about the financial side of things.

“We want to give every child the chance to go on a fair ground ride, have a free ice lolly and get their face painted free of cost.”
“The more money we raise, the more free rides and activities we can put on.
"With your help and generosity, we can all give the children in our community a day to remember.”
The event will be supported by Flintshire Council although a date is yet to be confirmed.
The Holywell Market Group was established in 2019 following proposals to close the market and since then, the group has been involved in efforts to rejuvenate the market and give back to the local community.
The group has already been greatly supported by the community and is appealing for donations via a go fund me page to raise money for a minimum of five fairground rides to be enjoyed on the day.
