A Flintshire bowling club has been faced with senseless vandalism over the weekend following a break-in.
Photographs emerged on social media showing a bin and its contents strung out across Carmel bowling green whilst the turf appeared to be dug up and damaged.
This prompted an angry response on a Holywell Facebook community group.
Flintshire County Councillor, Chris Dolphin hopes this is an ‘isolated incident’.

He said: “Carmel is a really nice place to live, and Carmel Bowling Club is a tremendous bowling green.
"A small minority of ignorant people have broken in and abused the club. I hope it’s an isolated incident.”
Cllr Dolphin added: “Local police have been informed and we have requested increased patrol in this area, I have full confidence in our local police to do that.”
