A BEAUTY salon in Shotton has been given the prestigious title of North Wales hair salon of the year.
KK’s Hairdressing & Beauty collected the award for salon of the year at the 2022 Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Salon owner Katie Roberts said: “We have been on Chester Road east, in Shotton for two years. We opened in the middle of covid, due to our smaller salon being too small to work in due to social distancing.
"It was a big decision to move into a much larger salon but is the best thing that has happened to Kk’s.

"We have only gone bigger and better throughout the years with amazing staff and apprentices. I really couldn’t have done this without their hard work.”
Katie went on to thank all her clients for their nominations and support, admitting that they made all the hard work at the salon worthwhile.
“We want to thank all our lovely clients for the nominations and the support you have given us at Kk’s, you are all amazing and really has made the hard work worthwhile.
"Every salon should be proud to make it through the lockdowns but to win an award was just the cherry on top for myself.”
