A MOLD nine-year-old has displayed an incredible act of kindness after he took it upon himself to tidy and place flowers upon a tired gravestone.
Corey Hall, was passing through Mold cemetery when he noticed a particular stone was without flowers, which prompted the youngster to go to Tesco with his Mum to buy some flowers to place upon the grave as well as giving it a clean-up.
This heart-felt gesture from Corey has not gone unnoticed with residents after a social media post on a Mold community group sparked a flurry of supportive messages for him.
Corey’s Mum, Kym said she couldn’t be prouder of her son’s selflessness: “After he did it, he turned to me and said, ‘even though it’s not a nice thing, what I did made me feel happy and better about myself’ and that was such a lovely thing to say.”

Having only moved to Mold in the last 12 months, Kym has been blown away by how the community has responded to Corey’s actions.
“We’ve not lived in the area for long, and I’ve been really shocked and overwhelmed at all the nice messages we’ve received. I thought Mold was just a small little town, and over a thousand people have liked the post and sent us well wishes.
Some have said he should be on the telly! But he just wants to help other people.”
