A day out for one couple turned into a royally romantic occasion with a marriage proposal at Llangollen Railway on the first day of the Queen's platinum jubilee celebration weekend.
Josh Taylor-Smith chose a visit to the heritage attraction yesterday as the perfect time and place to pop the question to his wife-to-be Becky Cook.
A railway spokesperson said of the marriage proposal on the station platform: "They intend to get married at the railway and will begin planning their big day with our team this coming week."
The railway has events ongoing this bank holiday, including the opportunity to see the Corwen station progress.
During the Platinum Jubilee Weekend, from 3 to 5 June, Llangollen Railway will be operating tours of the Corwen Station site, the public will also be able to see a static ballast wagon set within the station.
The Berwyn Shuttle is also up and running this weekend.
Take the Berwyn Shuttle to Berwyn Station and enjoy the view of the Dee Gorge, the Station Tearoom, walk to the Chain Bridge or Horseshoe Falls and return to Llangollen on a later service. Tickets are available to purchase at Llangollen Station on the day.
