RESIDENTS turned out in Flint to see a beacon lit in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The event was one of five organised in Flintshire and part of a national initiative to light over 2,000 beacons all over the UK.
Flintshire’s Council Leader, Councillor Ian Roberts, said: “We are delighted to be lighting beacons along Flintshire’s coast as part of the Queen’s Jubilee Celebration events.
"The coast is a wonderful asset to the county and with the Wales Coast Path also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, it is a year of celebrations."
