WREXHAM AFC's Executive Director has thanked all involved for what he says has been a 'very special first full season' for him with the club.
A triple heartbreak was complete for the club on Saturday (May 28) as they missed out on promotion having lost 5-4 after extra time at home to Grimsby Town in their National League play-off semi-final.
That followed the disappointment of missing out on the National League title to Stockport County and the 1-0 FA Trophy defeat to Bromley at Wembley.

But despite that, and just like many other Wrexham fans, the club's executive director is remaining positive about the club's future.
Humphrey Ker took to social media after the defeat to Grimsby to thanks all involved at the club.
He promised that the Reds 'will be back' and 'will be stronger'.
Thank you to all the players, staff and fans of @Wrexham_AFC for a very special first full season. We will be back, we will be stronger and we will be honoured to do it for the people of this great town. #WxmAFC

Ker was appointed to the role of Executive Director following the takeover of the club by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in early 2021.
British comedian and writer Kerr previously revealed how McElhenney made fun of him for watching football matches on his laptop during breaks when he was working on the actor's hit show Mythic Quest.
