A WREXHAM man has been fined and handed points for driving while disqualified.
James Macgeorge, of Primrose Way, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old admitted having driven a motor vehicle on May 3 whilst disqualified and without insurance.
Prosecutor Rhian Jackson told the court the defendant received a driving ban from Chester Crown Court in December 2016, prohibiting him from driving for two years and four months.
The order also required him to take an extended re-test before being able to drive again, she said, and while the time frame of the ban had elapsed when the May offence was committed, he had not taken a retest.

Ms Jackson said if he'd been in the car with a supervisory driver and had 'L' plates displayed, he'd have been able to drive with a provisional licence.
Police were informed that he'd been seen getting into a Jaguar vehicle and when officers investigated CCTV they spotted him driving onto the forecourt of Mold Road's Shell Garage in Wrexham.
He put fuel in the vehicle and then drove home.
Ceri Lewis, defending, said: "If he'd taken his extended re-test, he wouldn't be sitting here today."
She said her client hadn't been aware he had to take the extended test, and that the situation was "frustrating" as he'd been offered a job with an ice cream van company if he passes his test - which he'd booked for next month.
Magistrates handed the defendant six points for driving while disqualified and a £120 fine.
MacGeorge must also pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
No Separate penalty was imposed for the insurance offence.
