A NUMBER of Wrexham and Flintshire residents have been fined and handed points after committing motoring crimes.
Here is a roundup of some of the latest defendants whose cases have been dealt with at Mold Magistrates Court in the last week.
Maria Joanne Calvert, aged 44 and of Hawarden Way in Mancot
Offence: Exceed a 50 mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order (A494 Deeside Industrial Park Interchange)
Outcome: Guilty plea by Single Justice Procedure. £84 fine, £34 victim surcharge, £90 costs. Driving record endorsed with three points.
Abdul Rahim, aged 26 and Vyrnwy Road in Saltney
Offence: Exceed a 50 mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order (A483 Wrexham)
Outcome: Proved by Single Justice Procedure. £660 fine, £66 victim services, £90 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.
John Barker, aged 60 and Harrison Grove, Sandycroft
Offence: Speeding - exceed 30 mph on restricted road (Manor Lane, Hawarden)
Outcome: Guilty plea. £100 fine, £34 victim surcharge, £110 costs. Driving record endorsed with three points.
Paul Hatcher, aged 60, Cilcen, Gwersyllt
Offence: Drive a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, use a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance
Outcome: Guilty plea to both by Single Justice Procedure. £120 fine for the insurance offence, £34 victim surcharge, £90 costs. No separate penalty for the other offence. Driving record endorsed with six points.
Phillip Jason Hughes, aged 47, of Belmont Road, Wrexham
Offence: Drive on a road a motor vehicle whilst not wearing a seat belt, drive a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
Outcome: Both offences proved by Single Justice Procedure. £220 fine for the seatbelt offence, £34 victim surcharge and £90 costs. No separate penalty for the other offence.

Matthew Bryan, aged 33 and of Colliery Road in Wrexham
Offence: Speeding - exceed 30 mph on restricted road (Wrexham Road, Mold)
Outcome: Proved by single justice procedure. £220 fine, £34 victim surcharge, £90 costs. Driving record endorsed with three points.
James Raymond Gareth Wilson, aged 40 and of Pinecroft in Penycae
Offence: Exceed a 50 mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order (A483 Wrexham)
Outcome: Guilty plea by Single Justice Procedure. £440 fine, £44 victim surcharge, £90 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.
Karlie Amber Crofts, aged 24 and of Pwll Y Waun in Chirk
Offence: Fail to give information relating to the identification of the driver / rider of a vehicle when required.
Outcome: Proved by Single Justice Procedure. £660 fine, £66 victim surcharge, £90 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Timothy James Ramsay, aged 34 and of Heol Celyn in Coedpoeth
Offence: Drive a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road / in a public place without due care and attention (Miners Road, Llay)
Outcome: Guilty plea by Single Justice Procedure. £207 fine, £34 victim surcharge, £110 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.
