ARMED police swooped on a block of flats in Wrexham and arrested a man on suspicion of firearms offences.
North Wales Police has said armed officers were called to Wilkinson Court in Brymbo shortly before midday today (Wednesday, May 4) following reports that a man was in possession of a handgun.

A spokesperson for the force said 57-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.
The suspect remains in custody and police inquiries remain ongoing.
Wrexham Rural police Inspector, Gavin Gilmore, said: “I would like to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident, which was swiftly dealt with by attending officers.
“Nobody was harmed and no further suspects are being sought.”
