A POPULAR Wrexham bingo caller was shocked to feature on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
Jason Davies, who has won Mecca's Host of the Year in the past, was visited by I'm a Celebrity star and Radio 1 DJ Jordan North during Saturday night's show - the last of the series.
As part of the show's Takeaway Getaway segment, Jordan burst through the doors of Mecca Bingo Wrexham - announcing to everyone in the bingo hall that they were live on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
"We're on the lookout for someone very special," he said.
"He is - Jason Davies."
After greeting Jason, Jordan said: "Jason is absolutely loved here, he cheers everybody up and all the customers love him.
"He has three jobs, and we think Jason deserves a Takeaway Getaway."
Jason looked delighted as he was handed the Takeaway Getaway (a free holiday of his choice) and was greeted by friends as confetti went off.
Woohoo 🥳 Congratulations to our bingo caller Jason, who won a Takeaway Getaway on tonight’s @antanddec #SaturdayNightTakeaway

Jason said: “What an incredible moment, and a huge shock. When Jordan appeared with the megaphone, I didn’t know what was going on.
"At first, I thought one of our players was getting extra lucky, but then I realised that it was me he was after, and that I was live on telly. I can’t wait to get my shades and flip flops out for my Takeaway Getaway - now I’ve just got to decide where to go!”
Hundreds of people took to social media to praise Jason.
One person said: "Well deserved, could not have gone to a nicer person, Jason is such a kind and friendly chap."
Another added: "Well done, Jason! So well deserved - you are so lovely whenever me and my mum are in for a game. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer man."
