A mobile hoist and a new changing bed are the latest facilities to be added to Chirk Leisure and Activity Centre.
These new additions combined with a pool hoist, which was also recently added, will ensure the facilities are accessible to all and will assist people changing, entering and exiting the swimming pool.

The investment has been welcomed by Centre Manager, David Watkin, who said: “We are really pleased with this further investment by Freedom Leisure. The new facilities ensure the pool is fully accessible for everyone and will allow more opportunity for swimmers in Wrexham to enjoy the benefits that exercise in the water provides.”

He said: “I’m now really looking forward to being able to swim at Chirk, I’m really grateful to the team at Chirk Leisure Centre for helping make this happen.”

Chirk Leisure and Activity Centre is operated by Freedom Leisure – a not-for-profit charitable leisure trust which manages leisure facilities in the area in partnership with Wrexham Council. Every penny goes back into local facilities to create new programmes and improve facilities for the community.
