Wrexham AFC fans are full of excitement as they begin to plan to get to Wembley in May.

Following their win 2-0 on Saturday against Stockport County in front of Co-owner and Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, Wrexham AFC is now heading to the Buildbase FA Trophy.

Their win came after Paul Mullin scored twice after the 90th minute. It was also Stockport’s first defeat in 22 games.

Fans are now beginning to come up with plans to get themselves to Wembley on Sunday, May 22 and the excitement could be felt at their most recent game against Barnet (Tuesday, 5 April).

The leader spoke to fans just before the match as Wrexham also prepare for a possible promotion at the end of the season.

Tony and Stan from Shropshire said that they don’t always make it to games but are excited for the team. They think that the club's recent success has come as a result of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney who have given the club, and fans something to aim for.

They said: “It’s going to be a great day out isn’t it, absolutely fantastic.

“I think the difference is with Reynolds taking over it just gives them hope or something to strive for and I think that’s brilliant and that is grassroots football.

“And they deserve it too Wrexham do.”

Josh Kirk is looking forward to going to Wembley. He said: “I wasn’t at the game but I’m pretty happy. I think there’s six of seven of us going down. It’ll be a good day.”

His friend, Andrew Goodall summed up his feelings with two words: “Fantastic” and “happy”.

Another Wrexham supporter, Mark Hughes, added: “We haven’t been there for nine years. We were at the game, and it was absolutely brilliant, wasn’t it?”

Matthew Cartwright added that he was pleased for the team but that he would be on holiday for the game, though, he went in 2013.

Will you be going to Wembley?
