A community cancer support group based in Wrexham are set to be addressed on a new programme aimed at early detection of prostate cancer.
The Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group will be holding their next meeting at the Trevor Arms in Marford on Wednesday, April 6 at 7pm.
There is an open invitation to those in our community who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or suspect that they have symptoms.

During the meeting, there will be two special presentations.
The first will focus on a joint venture between Cancer Specialists in Wrexham, Professor Hughes and Professor Shergill working alongside research scientists from Aberystwyth University.
Their objective is to introduce a programme focusing on an improved and early detection of Prostate Cancer.

The group will then be joined by Rachel Taylor and Jennifer Jones from the Maelor Hospital Urology department and they will provide an update on how prostate cancer patients in our region can enjoy an improved method of booking their PSA blood tests and receiving their results.
