A MAN assaulted his partner in front of paramedics after he came round "in a drunken stupor."
David Jamieson, of Davies Avenue in Brymbo, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old admitted that on November 27 last year he assaulted his partner Sarah Evans by beating her.
Justin Espie, prosecuting, told the court paramedics were called to the defendant's address where he was found to be "unresponsive."
When he came round, he became agitated and paramedics saw him pulling the victim by her hair into the kitchen area.

He was visibly intoxicated and his words were incoherent, Mr Espie said.
Stephen Edwards, defending, said: "This day was difficult for both parties.
"He had drunk too much - the amount he consumed meant he collapsed.
"It appears he was revived in a drunken stupor and he became loud and aggressive.
"He has pleaded guilty, very sensibly.
"The parties wish to be reconciled as a matter of urgency."
The court heard he had little recollection of the incident when he was interviewed.
District Judge Gwyn Jones told the defendant: "This court takes domestic abuse very seriously.

"It impacts not only on those in the relationship but on society as a whole.
"The use of violence is not in any way acceptable."
Jamieson received a fine of £240, with orders to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £35.
