AN ex-Amazon worker has been prohibited from looking through the windows of any private property after CCTV cameras caught him performing a lewd act in public.

Gabriel Olah, of Fairfield Road in Queensferry, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old had been convicted of exposing his genitals outside a Flintshire home earlier this year, as well as possessing cannabis and amphetamine.

Prosecutor Justin Espie said he had been seen on CCTV footage performing the sex act on himself "outside a domestic property" when a party was happening inside.

When later taken into police custody, he made an offensive comment and behaved in a "sexualised" way at the police station, the court heard.

David Matthews, defending, said: "This man has been in the UK for the last five years, working for Amazon in a warehouse.

"His job is no longer available."

He said while his client's act was thankfully not witnessed "live", the occupier of the property in question spotted it when they reviewed security footage the next day.

There were children in the property, but with the offence taking place in the early hours of the morning they would not have seen it, he added.

"He has accepted he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs - which were found in his possession at the time of his arrest," Mr Matthews added.

District Judge Gwyn Jones said the defendant "purposefully" carried out the sex act outside the residence.

The only appropriate sentence was one of immediate custody, the District Judge said - handing down a 16 week jail term for the exposure.

No separate penalty was imposed regarding the drugs, however Olah was made the subject of a seven year sexual harm prevention order.

He was prohibited from undertaking a number of behaviours for the duration of that order, including; looking through any window of any private dwelling, entering or remaining on any premises that are not his own without the permission of the occupier (including the driveway and garden), approaching or seeking to approach any female or communicate any sexual remarks with a view to furthering sexual contact including gestures.
