POLICE are urging parents to keep tighter reins on their kids after criminal damage at a village football club.
Police are investigating the incidents - two of which occurred at Gresford Athletic's Clappers Lane ground over the last week.
Witnesses reported seeing youths close to the location around the time of the latest incident, which involved damage to the spectator stand and is believed to have occurred on Saturday evening (March 26).
Sgt Nathan Harvey, of the Wrexham Rural crime team, said: "The local policing team are fully aware of this recent incident and enquiries are currently ongoing to locate those responsible.
"We suspect that those involved are youths, so can I ask that parents are aware of where their children are at night because if this behaviour continues it could have real detriment on their child’s future."
