A WREXHAM man who was found to be almost three times the drink-drive limit has lost his licence.
Piotr Gawronski, of Field View, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Monday.
The 48-year-old admitted that on March 11 he drive a motor vehicle on Erddig Road after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit.
He was found to have 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35.
Justin Espie, prosecuting, said at around 6pm a witness called police after spotting what they suspected to have been a possible drink-drive related collision.
The witness asked the driver, Gawronski, for his details - to which he replied "no"

They then took the keys off him and he got out of the vehicle, "wobbling."
Defending himself with the help of an interpreter at the hearing, Gawronski told the court he'd been to visit friends on the day.
"I think I had too much to drink," he told the magistrates.
"My original intention was to stay at a colleague's place."
But he said he didn't have a "drink problem."
Paul Rudd JP handed down a £583 fine and ordered the defendant to pay £85 costs and a £58 victim surcharge.
A driving ban of 24 months was also issued.
