Erddig and Chirk Castle are just two National Trust Cymru locations creating an adventure in nature with Easter egg trails.
Easter is just around the corner, and National Trust Cymru is inviting the whole family to enjoy Easter egg trails and spring adventures locally.
The Easter trail at Chirk Castle will take place from 11-24 April from 10 am-4 pm.
The Pleasure Ground Wood and gardens at Chirk are carpeted with drifts of late daffodils, wild garlic and the rhododendrons in the shrub garden smell beautiful after a spring shower.
Follow the Easter adventure in nature trail around the garden to discover what makes Chirk Castle special. Find the birds, insects, trees, and plants that make the castle’s estate their home, and which ones are just waking up for spring.

Erddig also has much to offer this Easter, with the 13.5-acre walled garden which comes to life each spring with pretty fruit blossoms and late-flowering daffodils on the west front and along Moss Walk. Tread carefully as you go, snake's head fritillary blossom at Easter time, with delicate nodding pink-and-purple or white flower heads.

Explore the walled garden to find ten nature-inspired activities. Hop to it, be an eagle eye and spot a cosy home are just some of the challenges to complete to earn your chocolate egg. Erddig’s Easter trail, will run between 11–18 April, from 10 am – 5 pm (last entry 4.30 pm).
Bodnant Garden, Conwy is also doing an Easter Trail.
With late-flowering daffodils filling the Old Park meadow, tulips, magnolias, and rhododendrons lighting up eighty acres of garden with colour, Bodnant Garden is the perfect place to let your little explorers run off excess energy.
The Easter trail runs from 15–18 April, from 9.30 am–to 5pm (last entry to the garden 4 pm).

Every Easter adventure in nature trail ends with a chocolate egg, made in the UK using cocoa responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms (alternative non-chocolate reward available if requested). Trails cost £3 per child, plus normal admission charges.
