A WREXHAM grandmother has warned others to be careful after being targeted by a fraud caller who wanted her bank details.
The woman, who is in her seventies, asked not to be named but told the Leader she received four calls in one day last week and another at the weekend.
She said: "At first he said they owed me £190 and he asked for my bank cards and my account details.
"I told him that I am disabled and I was in bed."
But the man called back three more times that same day.
Fortunately, the woman realised it was a fraud and members of her family were there for the fourth call.
She said: "My daughter answered it that time - she was angry.

"I just can't believe it. I have always felt cautious because you always think these things happen to someone else, but then it happened to me.
"I thought - I'm not giving my bank details out to anyone.
"And he did have my name, my phone number, address and postcode.
"It's so annoying, how on earth did he get my details? I felt terrible afterwards."
The woman said she did report the matter to police and was advised the call appeared to have been an attempted scam.
"I just wanted to let people know to be careful," she said.
"It just makes you think."
