POLICE conducted speed checks on two roads in Wrexham.
Speed checks were conducted this afternoon on Holt Road, Cross lanes after concerns were raised by community councillors about speeding in the area.
A total of 43 vehicles were recorded and seven were above the speed limit 30mph.
Of these, six vehicles were travelling at speeds between 30mph and 35mph.

The highest speed recorded was one at 37mph.
Concerns had also been raised at about speeds on the 60mph stretch of A495 between Bronington village and Nook Lane.
As a result, police did a speed assessment at the location.
No speeding was witnessed over the 60mph limit.
However, residents have requested that the 60mph limit be reduced to 40mph and the community council and police are looking into this.
