A FLINTSHIRE artist is selling prints of her sunflower painting to help support the Ukraine appeal.
Abby Browne, from Hawarden, once battled alcoholism - but found solace at the end of a paintbrush.
This helped transform her life - with her setting her up own art business.
She even turned part of her home on Cross Tree Close into a public art gallery to showcase her acrylic and oil paintings.
And now, Abby is using her talents to help support the Ukraine humanitarian aid appeal.
She is selling prints of her ’Field of Dreams’ painting - which is a sunflower painting devoted to the Ukraine.
The proceeds of the print go to the SOS Children's Villages charity - which is providing humanitarian aid to families affected by the war in the Ukraine.
Abby said: "As a mother of children myself, I have found the images of devasted families in the Ukraine war zone painful to see.
"I wanted to use my art in some way to help the innocents suffering there so created a print of my artwork 'Field of Dreams' which incorporates the sunflower, the national flower of Ukraine.
"All of the proceeds including the cost of the prints will go to the charity.
"It doesn't feel much but I've always wanted my art to bring hope to others and believe supporting SOS Children's Villages will provide at least some hope to these children and their families."
You can buy one of the prints at www.abbybrowne.art - where they are on sale for £14.99.
