AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after an "intense" blaze damaged a property and vehicles.
North Wales Police confirmed the suspected arson happened in Beechley Road at 9pm on Saturday.
Wrexham Inspector Luke Hughes said: "It appears at this time that someone has caused the deliberate ignition of a large stretch of mature hedge / trees, the resulting fire causing damage by heat transfer to both the property and also two parked vehicles.
"The fire was intense but quickly brought under control by the fire service.

"Officers have attended the location and following initial enquiries are keen to identify two persons who were seen near to the hedge shortly before the fire started.
"At this time we are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or who may have CCTV to review and contact us if they have any footage that could assist the investigation.
"I will also stress that arson in Wrexham is currently a very rare occurrence, which makes this incident all the more concerning."
