Yellow and Blue Community Football Club is preparing for its next match after the debut game against Wrexham Town Police Station FC.
YaBCFC is now preparing for their next fixture against FC United of Wrexham women’s team on March 22.
The club is an extension of the incredible work that goes on at the Yellow and Blue hub. The hub is located on Henblas Street in Wrexham town centre.

The football club was founded by Peter Humphreys and Kate Williams at the end of November 2021, with training sessions starting earlier in January 2022.
Like the YaB hub itself, YaBCFC is a support network for many people in the Wrexham community, many of whom face difficult lifestyles and are sometimes vulnerable. YaB hub and YaBCFC are safe places with friendly staff, volunteers, and associates who are there to provide support in many different ways.
The manager of the team, Kate Williams, said: “YaBCFC is an all-inclusive, vibrant and inviting club where smiles are worn. It is somewhere to have fun whilst playing a game that gives all participants a chance to shine, to feel safe, and to make new friends. It is a place that is free of judgment and discrimination of people's situations, whatever they may be. YaBCFC is a club where people come to feel, and leave, inspired and included.”
YaBCFC played a friendly against Wrexham Town Police’s team on March 5, where YaBCFC was able to show off their new kits which were produced by Bond Apparel and sponsored by Wrexham Insurance.

The game allowed for bridges to be built within the community and for positive connections to be made; breaking a small gap in the negative stigma that is often associated with the police. Both teams had a fantastic time and developed new friendships, which was the greatest outcome of the event. All who were involved in the match were so pleased to have had the opportunity to do so.
Kate Williams, the manager of YaBCFC, said: “I am so proud to have been able to lead YaBCFC out onto the pitch as manager and captain. I'll never be able to put into words how much this has helped me, but also so many other people within the community of Wrexham. It has greatly improved my confidence in my own ability and has influenced a positive change in my mental health; being able to realise how much support YaBCFC is able to offer, but also how much support there is for the club itself. It's just mind-blowing!
“YaBCFC are looking forward to their next friendly against FC United of Wrexham women’s team on the 22 March where, again, we will be able to make new connections within the community."
