At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday (March 7), an inquest opening heard that Mr Stevenson, of Ffordd Pentre in Johnstown, died as a result of severe chest injuries.
The hearing was told that Mr Stevenson waited more than three hours for an emergency ambulance to arrive.
He had been attended by off-duty paramedics, but they were under strict instruction not to move Mr Stevenson - who was fully concious but complaining of shoulder and chest pain.
The ambulance arrived at 10.38pm, but his condition worsened, and Mr Stevenson was sadly pronounced dead at Wrexham Maelor Hospital shortly before 12.15am on March 3.
John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said a full inquest will be held at a later date - after the findings of a forensic collision investigation report being compiled by North Wales Police.
