These were the dramatic scenes as firefighters tackled at blaze at a Ruthin housing estate early today.
The fire broke out in two empty houses on a new build estate at Glasdir, Ruthin.
North Wales Fire and rescue service attened and asked people to avoid the area until the incident had been dealt with.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews are currently in attendance tackling a fire affecting two empty houses on a new build estate at Glasdir, Ruthin.
"The call was received at 4.03 this morning, Friday 4 March.
"A crew from Ruthin and two crews from Rhyl are currently in attendance. At the height of the incident, crews from Denbigh, Mold and Wrexham were also at the scene.
"An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway."
Tim Owen from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, added: “I’d like to thank our firefighters for their work and local residents for helping us by keeping away from the area while we tackle the fire."
