A CRASH in North Wales has left a motorcyclist with 'life-threatening injuries'.
The collision, between a VW Tiguan and a motorbike, occurred at 5.01pm earlier this evening (Wednesday, March 2) at Gaerwen, Anglesey.
The male motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital following the incident.
North Wales Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash.
A statement from North Wales Police read: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Gaerwen, Anglesey which has left a motorcyclist with life threatening injuries.
"At 17:01 today (Wednesday, 2nd March) we received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A5 with the junction of the industrial estate involving a VW Tiguan and a motorcycle.
"The emergency services were called to the scene and the male motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Aintree."
Sergeant Medwyn Williams of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for any witnesses to contact officers.
He said: “I’m urging anybody who may have been in the area and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.
“I would like to thank those members of the public who stopped to assist at the scene.
“The road remains closed whilst our initial enquiries get underway, so I would also like to thank the local community and motorists for their patience.”
