St Davids Day and Pancake Day happened to fall on the same day this year, to the delight of many children in Wales who get to dress up and eat as many pancakes as they can.
The celebrations across Flinthshire and Wrexham were missed last year due to Covid-19 restrictions however this year Mold brought back it's annual Pancake Races and Wrexham hosted its popular St David's Day parade.
Many celebrated in their own way though, and have sent pictures to The Leader.
Busy Bee's Playgroup in Flint, who care for preschool children between the ages of 2-3, celebrated by having the children dress in a Welsh costume, sports kit or red white and green. Members of staff Auntie Janet and Auntie Kim help the children to use the Welsh language daily with the help of Welsh bear 'Ticw'.
