DOZENS of people enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at the Mold pancake race event.
The popular town council-run event returned after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid pandemic.
Local schools, businesses and police officers took part on a sunny afternoon at the Daniel Owen Square.
There were races between classmates, work colleagues and town councillors.
The Pancake Race rules were very simple – teams of four to run in a relay, each person, wearing an apron, runs one length of Daniel Owen Square, tossing and catching their pancake three times. They then hand over their pan, pancake and tie their apron onto the next person in their team.
The fastest adult team and children's team, which tossed their pancakes the correct number of times, won prizes from Spavens sweet shop.
Councillor Haydyn Jones said: "It was great to see so many children and adults having so much fun in the sunshine after the difficulties of the last couple of years.
"This event is now in its 16th year, and is a hugely popular event in the Mold Town Council calendar. It was very much missed in the two years it was cancelled during the pandemic."
