A MYSTERY "explosion" has been caught on CCTV in Flintshire.
Residents in Ewloe were woken late on Sunday night by a noise that sounded like an explosion.
And when one resident of Circular Drive checked their door camera footage they were shocked by what they saw.
At the time of the bang - about 10pm on Sunday - a flash can be seen for a split-second.
The woman resident says the flash on the short clip seemed to be in the direction of Queensferry.
She told the Leader: "I was woken up on Sunday night by huge bang. The next day checked my CCTV and found footage of what seems to be an explosion of some kind.
"I rang the police the next day but they had no idea what it was and didn't seem interested in it.
"Two of my neighbours heard the bang so it wasn't just me. We have asked around on Facebook but nobody seems to know what it could have been.
"It's very strange."
