THE Secretary of State for Wales paid a visit to Wrexham to see first hand the investment made in the town's Neuroscience centre of excellence.
On February 24, Simon Hart joined Wrexham MP Sarah Atherton and others at the Wrexham site.
Mr Hart said: "It was a fascinating visit to Ipsen to learn about their new facility and the work they do. The UK’s life sciences industry is vitally important, and it’s wonderful to see investment coming into Wales, building on the talents of the workforce in Wrexham.
"Already Ipsen are exporting to over 90 countries from this site – a truly global operation."
Ipsen’s Wrexham facility is a ‘neuroscience centre of excellence’ that undertakes Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing to create medicines to treat neurological conditions.
Ipsen recently made an investment of £24 million into the site to build a new flexible drug product manufacturing facility.
