A St. David's Day parade in Wrexham is set to have hundreds of people taking part, as the parade returns after a two year break.

Wrexham Council is organising the parade and are aiming to celebrate St David’s Day in true Wrexham style by holding a parade through the town centre.

The event is organised in partnership with Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam and starts at 1pm on Tuesday, March 1 outside Guildhall. The council is encouraging everyone to take part along with bells, whistles and flags.

As well as celebrating St. David's Day the parade is also part of #Wrecsam2025 City of Culture programming that aims to raise awareness of the bid and its benefits for the region.

The parade will be headed by Band Cambria, and Welsh language live music performances from choirs and acoustic musicians will take place on a stage on Queen’s Square.

The Mayor of Wrexham Ronnie Prince is set to join in with the leading of the parade and will hopefully be joining in with the musical performance.

All groups, organisations, businesses, schools and individuals can take part and once again all sections of Wrexham will walk together to celebrate.
