Two people have sadly died following a fatal road traffic collision that took place on the A55 earlier today.
Police were called to the scene on the A55 near Broughton and Dobshill just after 12.15pm today (February 26).
The road was immediately closed in both directions.
North Wales Fire and Rescue service were at the scene as were multiple units from the Welsh Ambulance service including two air ambulances.
North Wales Police are now investigating the road traffic collision.
Sergeant Liam Morris of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses.
He said: “I extend my heartfelt sympathy for the families involved.
“I urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact us immediately to assist us with our investigation. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage of a red Audi TT driving erratically at around this time."
A Welsh Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle road traffic collision on the A55 near Broughton earlier today. Multiple resources were dispatched to the incident including three ambulances and two air ambulances."
