A CYCLIST is believed to have sustained 'life-threatening' injuries following a crash in Wrexham.
The collision between a vehicle and the man took place just before 7am this morning (Thursday, February 24).
It saw Blackwood Way closed off between the Wrexham industrial estate and Holt New Road.
North Wales Police have now issue a further statement which includes the severity of the injuries sustained by the cyclist involved in the incident.

The statement reads: "At 6.46 am today (24 February) we received a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a male cyclist on the A534 near Llan Y Pwll.
"Officers and an ambulance crew attended the scene and a temporary road closure was enforced while the scene was assessed.
"The cyclist was subsequently taken to Maelor hospital with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called this morning, Thursday 24 February at 06:39hrs to reports of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist on the dual carriageway, Industrial Estate Road, Wrexham.
"We responded with two emergency ambulances and two patients were conveyed to Wrexham's Maelor hospital for further treatment."
