A MAN has been fined for stealing items from a Wrexham store.
Jakub Gomulka, of Hoole Road in Chester, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old admitted that on December 21 last year, he stole various items to the value of £10.67 belonging to Home Bargains in Wrexham.
Prosecutor Justin Espie said the defendant was seen entering the store and placing items into a rucksack, before attempting to leave without making payment.
He was stopped and the items were recovered.

The court heard the offence put him in breach of a conditional discharge - handed down for offences of threatening behaviour, criminal damage and common assault.
Andrew Holliday, defending, told the court his client had stolen "out of necessity" and emphasised that all of the items were returned.
District Judge Gwyn Jones handed down a fine of £100 for the theft, as well as costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
The District Judge also re-sentenced Gomulka for each of the matters connected with the breached conditional discharge.
The defendant received additional fines of £25 for threatening behaviour, £25 for criminal damage and £50 for assault.
District Judge Jones told him: "Can I make it clear that I have dealt with you for these matters in a lenient way.
"Should any new offences come before the court, the penalties will increase considerably."
