THERE has been a 'significant increase' in anti-social behaviour incidents in Flint, according to police officers.

Over the past few months, North Wales Police officers have dealt with a number of incidents throughout the county.

That included reports of youths causing issues at the Tesco store in Holywell, as well as playing loud music and lighting a fire near a tree in the same town.

Further separate reports came from Buckley and Mold, where a steering group has been set up by the town council to help tackle the issue.

But, despite police stating that the number of anti-social behaviour incidents in the county has decreased of late, they have now confirmed new reports from the Bolingbroke Heights area of Flint.

Officers say that, once caught, the youths involved will be 'dealt with accordingly'.

A statement from NWP added: "We are experiencing a significant increase in Anti Social Behaviour in and around Bolingbroke Heights, Flint.

"It has been reported that youths are congregating under the canopy at the main entrance, gaining entry into the building, running the floors and smoking in the communal areas within the building.

"We are in the process of reviewing the CCTV footage. Those youths identified will be visited and will be dealt with accordingly.

"Parents, do you know where your child is? Who are they spending time with and what they are doing when they are not at home?

"Please report any Anti Social Behaviour incidents via our live chat service or by calling 101."
