A POLICE dog helped track down a suspect after a car was stolen in Wrexham.
The Cheshire and North Wales Police Dogs unit said police dog Bart (pictured) helped officers in Wrexham last night (Saturday, February 19) after a car was stolen during a burglary.
The car was abandoned a short time later and PD Bart tracked from the car to an address where a man was arrested.
Last year, PD Bart and his handler, PC Kelly Walker, were recognised as being the UK’s top crimefighting duo for their commitment to the job.
They won the Thin Blue Paw Award for Best Crime Fighting Duo - which celebrates a serving police dog and handler team who are constantly achieving outstanding operational results.
