A FLOOD alert is in place for communities in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham this morning.
The alert issued by Natural Resources Wales covers areas areas around the River Dee from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows.
It covers much of Wrexham town centre as well as surrounding communities like Bangor on Dee, Chirk, Coedpoeth and Rossett.
It covers the Kinnerton area of Flintshire and Llangollen in Denbighshire.
Natural Resources Wales said: "In addition to the area detailed, some localised flooding problems may result from surface water. River levels are above normal. We will continue to monitor the situation."
The alert is one of eight in place in Wales.
It follows heavy rain in parts of Wales over the weekend and this morning.
