A parade will take place throughout Wrexham town centre on March 1 to celebrate St David's Day.
Wrexham Council is organising the parade again and are aiming to celebrate St David’s Day in true Wrexham style by holding a parade through the town centre.
The council is encouraging everyone to take part along with bells, whistles and flags.
The event is organised in partnership with Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam and starts at 1pm on Tuesday, March 1.
The event is part of #Wrecsam2025 City of Culture programming that aims to raise awareness of the bid and its benefits for the region.
The parade will be headed by Band Cambria, and Welsh language live music performances from choirs and acoustic musicians will take place on a stage on Queen’s Square.
All groups, organisations, businesses, schools and individuals can take part and once again all sections of Wrexham will walk together to celebrate our special national day.
Cllr Hugh Jones, lead member for communities, partnerships, public protection and community safety, said: “It’s good see the event back in the town centre following the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions that meant such gatherings could not take place.
“It’s always well represented and I look forward to seeing people from all communities, schools and organisations come together to celebrate St David’s Day.”
Organisers are reminding everyone to social distance wherever possible.
