A BOOK shop reopened its doors to customers just months after losing everything in a fire.
On Saturday, Berwyn Books opened the doors to its new premises in Caffi Isa community centre in Mynydd Isa.
The business has risen from the ashes - after a devastating blaze ripped through its warehouse in Buckley in November.
Around 400,000 books, worth roughly a million pounds, were lost in the fire - including including a book signed by Queen Victoria and a first edition of the Radio Times from 1923.
Thanks to thousands of books being donated in the wake of the fire, and a generous offer to use a space in Caffi Isa - the business is now back on its feet.
Dozens of people attended the reopening of the shop event on Saturday - which saw ex-Coronation Street star Ian Pulseton-Davies on hand to formally open the new shop.
Seven-year-old Thomas was the first customer in the new shop - buying a Where's Wally book.
The shop is open everyday, including weekends, between 9am and 4.30pm.
Emma Littler, the co-owner of Berwyn Books, said: "We've had an incredibly busy weekend, hopefully this is the start of something wonderful.
"Thank you to everyone that has supported us, to quote Ian Puleston-Davies' opening speech 'This is chapter one of the Berwyn bookshop story'."
"And to Sara Parker at Caffi Isa, without you our bookshop dream would not have been possible, thank you."
