POP-up clinics are being held across the region as people are being urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health board has created walk in clinics all this week at several sites across Wrexham and Flintshire to get your first, second or booster jabs before the New Year.

At Deeside Leisure Centre in Flintshire, the first, second and booster jabs are available for those aged 12+ from today (Wednesday, December 29) 9am-7pm, Thursday, December 30 from 9am-7pm and Friday, December 31 from 9am-12pm.

At Catrin Finch in Wrexham, the first, second and booster jabs are available for those aged 12+, today 9am-5pm, on Thursday 9am-5pm, and Friday, New Year’s Eve, from 9am-12pm.

The British Legion in Llay, Wrexham the clinic is only open today for the first, second and booster jabs for ages 12+ from 10am-4pm.

The Xplore! Science Centre will also have a clinic tomorrow (December 30) from 9.30am-3.30pm. This clinic is only available for those aged 18 years and above to get their first, second or booster vaccine.

The number of Covid-19 cases in Wales has been surging and they are now reaching record numbers. Yesterday over 12,000 cases of Covid-19 were reported according to the latest Public Health Wales figures.

The health boards Executive Medical Director Dr Nick Lyons is urging everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible. He said: "For everybody who gets their jab, you protect yourself, you protect your family and crucially you protect the NHS."

The Welsh Government is asking that people do as much as they can to protect themselves against Covid-19, including being fully vaccinated, social distancing and wearing masks.
