To make sure you know what the best options are for your Boxing Day walk in Wrexham we've broken them down for you.
Llangollen Circular
This 14.8 km walk is rated easy by AllTrails, with a loop trail that is near Rhosllanerchrugog.
Featuring a river and stunning views that go on for miles the hike is for all levels and is great for walking, hiking, running, and mountain biking.
Plus you can take the dog out too as it's perfect for dogs to stretch their paws too.
Erddig Clywedog Riverside Walk
Walkthrough the National Trust that features the famous 'Cup and Saucer' water feature and the river Clywedog as well as beautiful woodland.
With a 1,200-acre estate with a wide range of natural woodlands, there is plenty of space to walk, run and take a break.
The trek is 2.4km and is dog friendly.
Chirk Castle walk
With the castle 480 access of woodland, grassland, and meadows there are plenty of walks to try out in the estate.
The woodland walk is rated an easy circular walk that has great views of parkland and even a surprise in the middle.
The Old Golf walk is a nice 1.2 miles that will take you through fields where you will be able to see views of the castle and the beyond.
Moss Valley Woodlands walk
This woodland is just a short drive from Wrexham but will make you feel a million miles away.
With oak and beech trees plus two small takes and open grassland, the area is home to a lot of wildlife.
The former coal mining area still has evidence of the past with an old railway and tramways.
